Event Registration Terms and Conditions
Registration Cancellation by Registrant:
1.1 There are no refunds if canceled by registrant. In the case of cancellation by registrant, any additional costs incurred by the registrant, such as travel expenses or accommodation, are the sole responsibility of the registrant and will not be reimbursed by the event organizer.
Event Cancellation by Organizer:
2.1 The event organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event for any reason.
2.2 If the event is cancelled by the event organizer, the event organizer will make reasonable efforts to notify registered participants as soon as possible via the contact information provided by each registrant.
2.3 Other than as provided herein, if the event is cancelled by the event organizer, registered participants will have the right to receive a refund. A full refund of the registration fee will be provided to the registered participants promptly following such cancellation. Notwithstanding the foregoing, no refund shall be permitted to any registered participant if the cause of such cancellation is, directly or indirectly, attributable to the actions or omissions of such registered participant.
2.4 The event organizer will not be responsible for any additional costs incurred by the participants as a result of the event cancellation, including but not limited to travel expenses, accommodation, or any other related expenses.
Force Majeure:
3.1 The event organizer shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing their obligations under these terms and conditions if such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of God, governmental actions, war, acts of terrorism, riots, fires, floods, or any other similar events (collectively, “Force Majeure Events”).
3.2 If a Force Majeure Event occurs, the event organizer may, at its sole discretion, issue refunds of registration fees to registered participants.
Dispute Resolution:
4.1 Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
4.2 Any disputes or claims arising from the event or these terms and conditions shall be resolved through amicable negotiations between the event organizer and the registrant. If a resolution cannot be reached, both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of California.
Assumption of Risk:
5.1 You acknowledge and agree that your attendance and participation in the event is voluntary, and you understand the nature of the event. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree that you solely assume the risks associated with attending and participating in the event.
Release of Claims:
6.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, you (for yourself, your heirs, dependents, personal representatives, assigns, and anyone else who might make a claim on your behalf or as a result of your death or injury) hereby release Chris Dancy and its affiliates, and its and their respective directors, officers, employees, equity holders, contractors, representatives, agents, successors, and assigns, from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, suits, damages, losses, debts, liabilities, costs and expenses (including without limitation reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs) that you may have now or in the future associated in any way with the event.
Limitation of Liability
7.1 CHRIS DANCY AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU UNDER ANY CAUSE OF ACTION OR THEORY OF LIABILITY, EVEN IF A PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, FOR (A) INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR (B) LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, CUSTOMERS, OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL. IN ANY CASE, CHRIS DANCY AND ITS AFFILIATES’ AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED $100. THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION APPLY ONLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
By completing the registration process and participating in the event, the registrant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
